Senior IT Auditor (VAC-A3382)

Job description

Our client is an independent and highly respected professional services firm, based in Nicosia, that is looking to onboard a Senior IT Auditor.

Job Duties

This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:

• Plan and execute IT audits according to established standards and frameworks, focusing on data security, network infrastructure, and software systems.
• Evaluate IT infrastructure in terms of risk to the organisation and establish audit scopes and objectives; recommend policy and control solutions for IT management and security issues.
• Assess system vulnerabilities, audit IT and business applications systems, an manage follow-up audits.
• Prepare detailed reports on IT audit findings, presenting complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with audit and IT management to ensure timely completion of audit projects.
• Assist in the development of junior staff through knowledge sharing and mentoring.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT audit standards, technology, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity threats.
• Perform additional duties as necessary to support the audit department.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in IT auditing, with a proven track record in IT audit or security assessment.
• Thorough understanding of IT audit methodologies, professional standards, and leading practices (e.g. COBiT, ISO 27001, ITIL, COSO)
• Understanding of COSO and IT Assurance Framework issued by ISACA.
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex IT issues clearly and concisely.
• Detail-oriented with high standards for quality and accuracy in audit documentation and reporting.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, works well under pressure
• Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking
• Professionalism and confidentiality
• Fluent in English and Greek (oral and written); Russian or Ukrainian is considered an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• IT literate

Our working hours are:

• Monday, Tuesday & Thursday from 8:15am – 17:15pm. With half hour break 13:00pm – 13:30pm
• Wednesday & Friday 8:15am – 15:00pm no break.
• Flexible walk-in hours in the morning between 8:15am – 9:15am, leaving accordingly.
