Job description

Our client, a well-established company in the HORECA sector based in Limassol, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to manage all accounting operations and financial activities of the company.

The potential candidate will work alone.

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

• This job position has the following responsibilities and duties:
• Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and general ledger management.
• Prepare management reports, budgets, and forecasts for the management.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and Social Insurance.
• Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring efficient financial planning and control.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring correct approvals and timely payments.
• Implement and improve internal accounting procedures and financial reporting systems.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and industry regulations.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• The successful candidate should have the following skills, education, and experience:
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the HORECA sector.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Cyprus tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, E-soft, or similar).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial reporting tools.
• Fluency in English and Greek; additional languages are considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage all accounting functions efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
