Corporate Governance Lawyer (VAC-A3144)

Job description

Our client, a Global Online Beauty Company, is opening an office in Nicosia, and they are looking for a Corporate Governance Lawyer to join their team.

Job Duties

• Contract Management:
  
  Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to ensure the company’s interests are protected
  
  Handle intercompany loan agreements and syndicate loan agreements
  
  Participate in purchase or distribution agreements
  
  Corporate Governance:
  
  Participate in the legal aspects of Group restructuring projects
  
  Manage the maintenance of companies, including the establishment of new entities
  
  Oversee processes related to the Registrar of Companies
  
  Corporate Documentation:
  
  Prepare and maintain board and shareholder resolutions
  
  Manage other corporate governance documents as part of daily responsibilities
  
  KYC/AML Compliance:
  
  Advise on and ensure compliance with legal aspects of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations
  
  Litigation Management:
  
  Coordinate and manage litigation processes, including liaising with external counsel when necessary
  
  Handle both court and out-of-court dispute resolution
  
  Regulatory Correspondence:
  
  Communicate with authorities, including financial regulators and courts
  
  Legal Monitoring:
  
  Monitor legal developments in selected countries
  
  Summarize legal analysis by external counsels and ensure the information meets the company’s needs
  
  Perform other duties as needed to support the legal and compliance functions of the company
  
  
  

Job Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in law

3-5 years of previous experience as a corporate lawyer

Strong understanding of Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations

Current licence to practise law

Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing Fluency in Greek and English

Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Working hours:

Monday – Friday, 38 hours per week

The client is offering a salary of up to 30k euros gross annually based on qualifications, experience and skills.
