Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Head of Dealing of Own Account. The successful candidate will oversee the efficient management of the Dealing Room department and ensure that the Company’s trading operations adhere to the highest standards of integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence, in alignment with CySEC regulations.
Job Duties
- Represent the best interests of the Company, its stakeholders, and shareholders, ensuring optimal decision-making in the trading operations.
- Manage the Dealing Room department, ensuring smooth, efficient, and compliant operations within the trading environment.
- Prepare and present accurate reports for internal management and clients, ensuring transparency in trading activities, investment performance, and risk exposure.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to the Company’s Execution and Best Interest Policy, in line with regulatory standards, and provide recommendations for policy improvements where applicable.
- Suggest and implement continuous improvements to operational procedures, optimizing departmental efficiency, trading systems, and workflow processes.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments related to investment decisions and their potential impact on the Company, ensuring proper risk mitigation strategies are in place.
- Keep abreast of market trends, and developments in the financial markets, particularly in major currency pairs, to make informed trading decisions and anticipate potential risks.
- Monitor and ensure the smooth operation of trading systems, platforms, and internal tools, ensuring their alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to the Company’s operational procedures, internal controls, and compliance with CySEC and other regulatory authorities.
- Provide internal support to client-facing teams, assisting with trading-related inquiries, and offering professional guidance on complex trading scenarios.
- Deliver daily trading statistics and performance reports to key stakeholders and clients in a clear and timely manner.
- Maintain strong relationships with liquidity providers, data vendors, and other external partners to optimize trading conditions and information flow.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including IT, Marketing, Business Development, and others, to ensure alignment across the Company’s operations and smooth delivery of services.
- Provide high-quality customer support by addressing client inquiries, executing trades, providing rates, and assisting with any technical issues that may arise during trading activities.
- Undertake additional tasks as needed to support the Dealing Room’s operations and the Company's objectives.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; CFA or similar certifications would be a plus.
- Proven experience in managing a Dealing Room or Trading Desk within a CySEC-regulated financial institution.
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, trading systems, and the regulatory environment (particularly CySEC and MiFID II).
- Strong understanding of risk management strategies and compliance requirements for financial institutions.
- Ability to analyze market trends and data to make informed trading decisions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to foster collaboration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
