Job description
Our client is a Large Construction Company in Limassol, Cyprus and looking for a Chief Legal Officer to manage the legal needs of a construction company in Cyprus effectively. The Chief Legal Officer will draft and review contracts (construction contracts, agreements with contractors, investment agreements), corporate legal questions, leasing with authorities regarding development legal questions, etc.
Job Duties

Working hours:
The working hours at 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday (100% office job with possibility from time to time work remotely
Job Requirements
A degree in law (preferably a Master's in Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, or International Law).
Additional certifications proving qualification (e.g., membership in the Cyprus Bar Association).
Fluency in Greek and English (mandatory), knowledge of Russian is an advantage.
A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in the legal field, preferably in a construction, development, or investment company.
Proven experience with large-scale infrastructure projects and contracts (construction, design, development).
Comprehensive Knowledge of Cyprus Legislation:
Real estate law (registration, taxation, construction permits).
Civil law, corporate law, real estate regulations, investment legislation.
Land and urban planning regulations in Cyprus.
Contract Law and Negotiation Skills:
Expertise in drafting and reviewing contracts (construction contracts, agreements with contractors, investment agreements).
Strong negotiation skills with clients, contractors, investors, and government bodies.
Regulatory Compliance:
Knowledge of compliance procedures and requirements.
Experience working with governmental authorities and handling permits and approvals (licenses, urban planning documents).
International Law Expertise:
Understanding of international law, including foreign investments, cross-border transactions, EPC and FIDIC contracts.
Ability to coordinate legal matters with international partners and jurisdictions.
Leadership Skills:
Experience in managing legal teams.
Ability to develop legal strategies and mitigate risks for the company.

Document Management and Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in working with legal databases.
Ability to prepare legal opinions and reports for company management.
Project Management Skills:
Participation in multidisciplinary projects.
Knowledge of risk and time management principles.
Financial Literacy:
Understanding of tax legislation and basics of financial accounting related to real estate.
Ability to evaluate the economic impact of legal decisions on project efficiency.
Soft Skills:
Ability to work under high pressure and multitask.
High level of diplomacy and conflict resolution skills.
Technological Proficiency:
Confident use of modern legal and office tools (e.g., MS Office, contract management software).
Experience in implementing digital solutions for legal departments is an advantage.
