Job description
Our client is a professional and well-established Forex Trading Company and they are looking to hire a motivated individual in the role of Head of Back Office for their office in Nicosia. The Head of Back Office will be responsible for overseeing the company’s back-office operations, ensuring efficient, compliant, and accurate handling of all post-trade processes, customer accounts, and regulatory reporting. The role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and expertise in regulations. You will manage a team of internal staff and outsourced specialists to ensure smooth account operations and high-quality client service.
Job Duties
- Oversee daily Back Office operations, including client account management, payment processing and reconciliation.
Supervise and guide internal and outsourced teams in account opening, transaction processing, and customer support, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Implement and maintain operational protocols, ensuring compliance with KYC, AML, and regulatory procedures, while optimizing workflows.
Continuously monitor departmental activities, improving efficiency and resolving client issues with other departments as needed.
Manage the client onboarding process, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Provide timely support for account-related issues and oversee due diligence to ensure regulatory compliance.
Assist in the preparation of accurate and complete reports to CySEC and other regulatory authorities within deadlines, ensuring timely regulatory filings and documentation.
Lead and mentor Back Office staff, overseeing performance, training, and adherence to regulations.
Monitor workflows, conduct evaluations, and drive continuous improvement in departmental efficiency and service quality.
Own, update and maintain all Back Office manuals and ensure staff’s adherence to procedures and guidelines.
Job Requirements
University degree in Finance, Economics, or any other relevant field.
At least 3 years of experience in a Back Office department of a CySEC regulated investment firm
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail and target oriented
Strong understanding of KYC and AML requirements
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is a must
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
A proactive mindset and a take-charge attitude, with the ability to lead a team and implement improvements.
CySEC Advanced Certificate is mandatory.

Working hours:
The working hours are Monday – Friday from 9am to 6pm with 1 hour lunch break
