Senior Security Engineer (VAC-A2611)

Job description

Our client, a new multi-asset global trading platform are looking to hire a dedicated and experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their team based in Nicosia.

This highly technical role is critical in safeguarding the company’s digital assets by managing and improving their security systems.

The Security Engineer will be responsible for a variety of technical and administrative tasks to ensure the IT infrastructure remains secure against potential threats.

Job Duties

• Firewall Administration: Configure, manage, and maintain firewalls with a focus on Check Point and Palo Alto Networks systems.
  
• VPN Management: Set up, administer, and troubleshoot VPNs, including Cisco, Check Point, and Pulse Secure technologies.
  
• Scripting: Utilize scripting languages such as BASH, Ruby, Perl, and Python to automate security tasks and processes.
  
• Privileged Identity Management: Manage sensitive access controls and identities using CyberArk.
  
• Penetration Testing: Assist with conducting penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities within our network.
  
• Security Policy and Documentation: Develop and write comprehensive security policies and documentation for company-wide distribution.
  
• Security Training Program: Administer and enhance the company-wide information security-training program to ensure staff awareness and compliance.
  
• Vendor Security Onboarding: Lead the security assessment and onboarding of new IT vendors to ensure compliance with our security standards.
  
• Application Security Design: Collaborate with software development teams to design and implement robust security measures within all applications.
  

Job Requirements

• Scripting Proficiency: Skilled in at least one scripting language to support automation and configuration.
  
• Security Fundamentals: Solid understanding of security concepts across UNIX or Windows platforms.
  
• Proficiency in Identity Access and Password Management using tools such as CyberArk and Bitwarden.
  
• Experience with Cloudflare for network security and performance enhancement.
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or related credentials required.
  
• At least 6+ years of experience in a security-engineering role or a related field.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, to manage and provision infrastructure through code, which enhances security automation.
  
  Working Hours:
  
  40 hours/week - Monday to Friday; Work from office: 3 days/week
