Managing Director (hybrid) (VAC-A3401)

Job description

Our client is a global leading provider of digital asset solutions and services. For their office in Nicosia, they are looking for an ambitious, pragmatic, and result-oriented Executive Director/ Managing Director to support their fast global growth.

In this role, you will be part of the senior management of their new European MiFID investment firm based in Cyprus, responsible for the implement of the strategy defined by the Board of Directors, alongside the local General Manager. Your role will manage the day-to-day business of the company. You will report to the Board of Directors, working in close collaboration with Global Heads of the group.

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the P&L of the firm;

Implement the local strategy, in particular in terms of trading, underwriting, products and business development

Supervise and manage business functions of the company, in particular clients, marketing and trading

Ensure that the company maintains and implements an adequate internal control framework, monitor and manage the risk profile of the company

Ensure that the company complies with its legal and regulatory obligations, in particular to CySEC

Report on a regular basis to the Board of directors and to the group

Replace the General Manager, during his/her absence, in all his/her duties and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

10 years working experience in the financial services industry

Previous experience as Managing Director or General Manager for a regulated investment firm – previously accredited by the CySEC for a similar role preferred

Experience in setting up from scratch similar business

Ability to work with small teams

Cyprus resident

Bachelor or master's in finance or economy

Past experience in sales, trading and capital markets

Interest and knowledge of digital assets and blockchain technologies

Strong analytical skills, precise, organized, autonomous, open-minded, self-starter, fast-learner, hands-on and result-oriented

Fluent in English, Greek

French is a plus
