Head of Payments (hybrid) (VAC-A3307)

Job description

Our client, a Global Cryptocurrency Company in Nicosia, is looking to recruit a Head of Payments and safekeeping of client funds. The candidate must currently hold such a position in a Cysec regulated company. The position requires the full knowledge of regulatory obligations for safekeeping of client funds hence within the forex industry.  The candidate will be the Head of Safekeeping of client funds.

The Head of Payments will be able to process payments, handle customer queries, troubleshoot technical problems related to payments and handle daily/weekly and monthly reconciliations. To ensure a smooth payment flow, the Head Payments Officer will interact with the Global Head of payments with banks and payment service providers in relation to the setup of accounts, payment issues, in charge of processing financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals) through different payment methods (bank wire, cards, e-wallets, etc.) and handles payment reconciliations for reporting purposes. 

Job Duties

• Process and monitor payments (deposits, withdrawals)
• Update client records
• Deal with customers and payment service providers in relation to payments issues
• Handle payments reconciliations
• Provide clients with quality support in the area of payments
• Assist Backoffice with any issued raised by clients
• Liaise with the CRM provider to implement developments or resolve issues
• Create procedure manuals
• Use ticketing and project management systems
• Report on a regular basis to the Directors of the company
• Optimize operational processes
• Keep up to date with AML, CFT and Due Diligence standards
• Cooperate closely with other departments
• Fully understand and be aligned with the objectives set at a departmental and company level
• Follow company safety and security policies to ensure a safe and secure workplace for all
• Keep a positive attitude and adopt a teamwork mindset

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of reconciliations and CySEC regulatory obligations are a must.
• At least 3 years of experience as a head of payments and safekeeping of client funds in a CySEC licensed entity.

Working hours:

The working hours are 9am-6pm, Monday to Friday (hybrid role, 2 days working from home is possible).
