Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This role involves supporting end-users, managing IT infrastructure, and collaborating with other IT professionals to maintain system efficiency.

Job Duties

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving faults.
  • Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords in line with security policies.
  • Assist with IT asset management, including procurement, inventory, and maintenance.
  • Support remote users with VPN, email, and other connectivity issues.
  • Ensure security best practices, including antivirus management and patching.
  • Document technical issues and solutions in an IT knowledge base.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Train users on IT tools, security practices, and software applications.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in IT support or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and enterprise software.
  • Basic knowledge of Active Directory, cloud services, and remote desktop tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or Cisco CCNA (preferred).
