Job description

Our client, a well known Hotel based in Ayia Napa, is currently looking for a General Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, monitor the Hotel’s operational and financial performance whilst ensuring the Company’s culture is followed. Coordinate the day-to-day activities within the Company’s guidelines to the highest standards of quality.

Job Duties

Responsibilities:

Setting and meeting budgets and exceeding revenue targets

To ensure all operational departments perform successfully to their maximum efficiency in accordance with the agreed standards of operation and are individually profitable following the budget guidelines of the hotel.

Setting pricing strategies and ensuring maximum room occupancies.

Maintain a business environment based on the hotel’s Mission Statement, Company Vision and Values.

Establish and maintain high levels of service and gust satisfaction.

Be demanding and critical when it comes to service and quality standards.

Frequently verify that the best products are used in the hotel operation.

Assist Department Heads in being creative and ensure that the highest level of quality is achieved.

Financial monitoring, analysis and interpretation of financial information.

To motivate and encourage the team to ensure high standards at all times for our customers.

Oversee recruitment and training of employees.

Collaboration with external parties i.e. Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Suppliers and others.

Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental management standards.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Degree in Hotel / Hospitality Management or other relevant field

Proven previous experience as a Hotel General Manager

Fluency in Greek and English; knowledge of other languages will be considered as an advantage

Proficient with MS Office; knowledge of ERP and CRM software

Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
