Job Duties

Description of tasks

- Responsibilities at the Political and Economic Section of the Embassy include:

- Fully maintaining up-to-date knowledge of political, economic and social affairs especially of Cyprus, and creating concise news briefings, presentations, reports and research on such topics.

- Attend meetings and prepare notes on the items of the agenda.

- Communication with external organizations, the Cypriot government/ private companies/ individuals.

- Other tasks required by the Embassy.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Cypriot, regional, EU and international affairs.

    University level studies related to politics and economics.

    Objective stance towards political and social affairs, professionalism and integrity with no prejudice towards persons and/or international events.

    Applicant who is highly motivated to work at the Embassy and is a long-term resident with a valid work permit.

    Excellent command of English and Greek (or Turkish) language.

    Possess the nationality of the Republic of Cyprus.

    Computer Literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.)

    The applicant must be able to start from 1st November 2024. (Start date is subject to negotiation.)

Job Benefits

Work schedule (days and hours)

  • Monday – Friday: 8:15 to 16:45 or 8:30 to 17:00 (Lunch break: 12:30 - 13:15)
  • (Holidays: Saturday and Sunday / other holidays determined by the Embassy.)

Salary

  • 2,000 EUR – 2,500 EUR (Gross per month)

*Salary will be determined based on your experience.
